Division 02 · Cigar Brand Development

Build the business around the cigar

A cigar can be excellent and still fail as a brand. Product hierarchy, pricing, presentation, distribution, market position and launch strategy need to work together. Cigar Projects helps clients build that commercial structure around the product.

New brands

Starting a cigar brand

For new brands, the work can begin before a factory is selected. We can help define the target market, positioning, initial product range, price architecture, brand direction, manufacturing brief, packaging requirements, distribution logic and launch plan.

Existing brands

Developing or repositioning an existing brand

Existing cigar companies may need a clearer product architecture, stronger pricing logic, updated presentation, new market positioning, additional lines or a revised route to market. Cigar Projects can review what exists, identify the commercial issue and focus development work where it will have an effect.

Working model

Not a branding agency

Cigar Projects can guide brand identity and packaging, but the role is broader than graphic design. Where specialist creative work is required, we can work with the client’s existing designer or coordinate appropriate creative resources. The priority is that the brand, cigar, packaging and commercial proposition make sense together.

Marketing follows the same logic. Promotion cannot fix an unclear product, poor positioning or a route-to-market problem — so we approach launch and marketing direction from the commercial foundation first: what the brand is, who it is for, where it will sell and what needs to happen for retailers, distributors and consumers to understand it.
